      Technical Recruiter Interview

      Application

I interviewed at Red Ventures (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2020

      Interview

Received an in mail from a tech recruiter regarding a tech recruiting role. Was curious how RV was set up so i responded. Strange interview process. Asked basic questions around recruiting. Had calls with IT recruiter and after that round with a manager of tech recruiting. Really robotic line of questioning. Very few behavioral questions or cultural questions, which is odd when evaluating HR candidates. Received a decline email a week after stating they weren’t moving forward. Totally get it. Feedback: “we are unable to provide due to an HR policy”. Yikes. Massive red flag. An org as big as this should recognize how to properly respond to candidates. This is a pretty bad experience overall and I wouldn’t respond to another inmail from a recruiter here. What’s next? Performance review rolls around and you’re told you’re not getting an increase but we can’t tell you why due to an HR policy? Work on your interview process/questions and fix this 20th century policy. RV ended up hiring a tech recruiter that also applied to my employer at time of this interview (October 2020) and this candidate didn’t make it past the first round of our interview process!
