      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Charlotte, NC
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Red Ventures (Charlotte, NC) in Jan 2023

      Interview

Initial phone interview with recruiter (30 mins) Technical interview with staff data scientist (30-45 mins) Take home technical assessment (timed 5 hours) Final round behavioral + panel/presentation (3 hours) The initial interviews were positive enough, the recruiter was very helpful. Technical screen was typical technical questions regarding statistics concepts. The take home technical assessment wasn't too difficult, and I was able to finish and submit within the time allotted. The final round of interviews was grueling, I was grilled on my academic projects and during the final round presentation, where they went very in-depth into the motivation and reasoning behind my decision making and technical choices of the topic I was presenting. There was no feedback given at the end of the ~10 hour interview process (not including the amount of time needed to prepare for each round). I had no problems with the behavioral portions of the interview, so I believe the final decision ultimately came down to technical abilities and experience related to the work and projects the team is currently doing.
