I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Regions Financial in Feb 2008
Interview
Initially went to interview for an assistant branch manager position. When I arrived for interview they told me they apologize but had already filled the position, and if I was interested in a float teller position the had available. I really needed work so I accepted, after a series of standard interview questions such as reciting previous customer interaction experiences and so forth.

Interview
I applied for an Assistant Manager position. Contacted by recruiter to inform me the position was offered to an internal candidate and offered to interview for a Branch Manager position.
Interviewed with recruiter and District Manager and it was decided to pursue another candidate for the role. I was then offered an opportunity to interview for Assistant Manager at another branch with the Branch Manager before internal or external candidates had a chance to apply or interview.
Recieved a call from the recruiter to initiate the background check for the Assistant Manager position.
Two weeks later recruiter calls to inform me that there have been some changes in the district and I needed to interview again for the same Assistant Manager position with the District Manager taking over.
This entire process has taken almost three months. Good thing I was not starving to death in need of a job.
Needless to say I decided to go no further with the process as it is obvious I am being jerked around.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical behavioral questions. "Tell me about a time you had a difficult customer. How did you handle it, and looking back what would you have done differently?"
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Regions Financial (Memphis, TN) in Mar 2014
Interview
Panel Style. HR rep and Consumer Sales Managers. Used question sheet but also asked realistic questions. Pretty much what can you do for them not how can we help prepare you to advance. Very corporate not sincerely caring about employees but I wanted the experience and resume enhancements.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Regions Financial (Springfield, MO) in Apr 2010
Interview
I went into the local hub branch for Southwest Missouri and personally handed by resume to the HR Coordinator. Two days later she called me and offered me an interview. I sat down with her a couple days later. After that I interviewed with the Branch Manager I would be working with who asked very similar questions. Lastly, I interviewed with the Sales Manager for the entire SW Missouri Region who again asked very similar questions. All in all from application to first day it took a little over a month.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They were pretty straight forward with the questions, the one that sticks out as unusual is a question where they asked a specific time I went above and beyond for a customer at a former job. It wasn't hard to answer because I worked in customer service for a while.
