The interview process was pretty standard. A phone call with HR and then moving on to a second and third interview with the team i'd be working with. All in all went pretty smoothly and the interviewers seemed very enthusiastic and communicative. For the first phone call, the interviewer was over 10 minutes late. I am glad I stayed on the call - and I figured "ok things happen, stuff runs over, I get it" Well, I should have remembered that - because this is where it turned. After the 3rd zoom call, I was tasked with an assessment to create some ads of various kinds and send them for review. One, the interviewer sent the assessment later than they said they would, and then took over a day to answer questions/provide missing information that wasn't sent initially. After I did the work, a few hours worth, they responded with a thank you! and said they'd get back to me with input and the next steps... and then NOTHING. I emailed a week later just to follow up on the assessment with both people i talked to but NO RESPONSE. They completely ghosted me. I can understand not getting the job, but the fact they were so positive and then had me DO HOURS OF WORK, and couldn't even be bothered to email me a courtesy "we're still working on it" or "sorry you're not moving on" is just disrespectful and shows a lot about how this company handles things. Ghosting people after 1 bad interview is one thing (and still not ok) but ghosting after multiple interviews and an assessment and followup? I mean, it takes 2 minutes. That's incredibly disrespectful.
