    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Remington Arms (Huntsville, AL) in August 2016.

    Interview

Interview was great. They made you feel very comfortable and answered all questions that I had. Although the interviewer seemed impressed with my job history, I still have yet to hear back from them which is disappointing as this was a job I actually WANTED and would have enjoyed doing. I still have faith that they will call.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Remington Arms (Huntsville, AL) in May 2015.

    Interview

Lengthy and hectic. Different opinions on what was expected in position. Sounded like more changes coming. Territory could change. Kept changing date and time for interviews and who would interview. Lots of same questions from different people - could have done a panel interview and saved everyone time.

    Interview Questions

    • Type of experience. How do you handle customers and difficult situations? Relationship building. Talked about previous positions, hobbies, travel, salary expected.   1 Answer

    Business Analyst Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Madison, NC
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Remington Arms (Madison, NC).

    Interview

One phone call, one on-site interview and another phone call to make the offer. Applied using internet website and contacted by their outsourced staffing firm. Initial contact to offer of job was about two weeks. The staffing firm was very professional and helpful. The initial call from the staffing firm was just to confirm my interest and ask me when the on-site interview could be conducted. Within a day I received an email with the flight details and rental car details. The Company covered all of the costs and all I had to do is show up. The actual interview was conducted on-site and well organized with final decision makers involved in the process. No red tape or extended waiting periods. Those conducting the interview were friendly, very well prepared and well educated on the position I was applying for.

    Interview Questions

    • Met with five different department heads over the course of 6 hours. Questions were very specific to the job and how it would impact their respective departments. Very professional but comfortable atmosphere. No generic HR type questions which was a refreshing change. No personality tests or behavioral assessments. Just position specific questions that required detailed answers. I was able to leave the interview knowing that I covered all the questions and was given good feedback during the interview from each of the participants. Didn't have to worry that some generic HR personality test would preclude me from the job. As a matter of fact, no HR person participated in the interview. They only provided the background/drug testing results.   1 Answer

    Manager Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Madison, NC
    Accepted Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Remington Arms (Madison, NC).

    Interview

About four to six phone interviews
Everyone asked me, "Tell me about yourself..."
No difficult questions. Mostly just the typical: "why do you want to work here", "how would you feel about ... "
For public-facing positions, they like experience in the gun world
Due to the incestuous nature of the industry, they place a high emphasis on familiarity with products

    Negotiation

During my initial contact with the recruiter, we settled salary ranges before I ever spoke to a Remington employee.

    Manager Interview

Anonymous Employee in North Ilion, NY

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Remington Arms (North Ilion, NY) in January 2014.

    Interview

This employer used a standard interview process. Recruiter contact, followed by phone screen, followed by phone interview, followed by a day-long in person interview. Expect to meet with multiple individuals for multiple sessions during the in-person interview phase. Questions were not difficult, but gauging responses to the multiple interviewers was intimidating. Interviewers were prepared and asked direct questions based on experience.
