      Renewal Account Manager Interview

      Feb 28, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Renaissance Learning

      Interview

Initial stages of the interview process were unorganized, time consuming and very impersonal. I was first asked to complete a candidate exercise via email. Two weeks later, I was emailed a questionnaire stating if "the team" liked my responses, I'd be eligible for a Zoom call. A week after I sent my questionnaire, I received another email asking me to complete the exact same questionnaire, which by the way had similar questions to the actual application. All communication was automated on their end and the talent department did not provide a contact email or phone number.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why are you looking to leave your current position and shift into educational-technology sales? What do you think you would like the least about Sales in ed-tech? When would you possibly be looking to start as far as your availability? If you're comfortable sharing, what might your salary expectations be?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Renaissance Learning (Wake Forest, NC) in Feb 2021

      Interview

I was very impressed with the entire interview and hiring process. The recruiter was great at keeping me informed along the way and moved things along at a good pace. I had an initial phone screening followed by a brief task, and three Zoom interviews with various levels of management that included two more tasks and a role-play. The tasks and role-play were not too time consuming or difficult and gave me a good idea of some of the work I’d be doing. It was a very positive experience overall!
