Found job posting online, submitted application then researched and sent hiring manager correspondence via LinkedIn. Was contacted by in-house recruiter couple days later to schedule a phone screen in couple of days. Completed phone screen and was invited to come in to test and potentially interview. Recruiter sent me email link to take a couple situational and ethics tests online. Also provided were examples of the math, logic, matching and vocabularly tests I would be taking on site.
Since I traditionally test well on vocab, logic situation type tests, and poorly on structured math (especially advanced math, algebra) I figured it would come down to what they were looking for. Friends who used to work at R+R have told me that new owner implemented "means testing" and your scores determined if you stayed or went.
Following my testing I wasn't asked to talk/interview so saw the handwriting on the wall, which was confirmed the following week when I received a dear john email.
