I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rise Broadband (Englewood, CO) in Sep 2023
Multiple interviews with a very one sided situation. Beware! In spite of trying to have an open and transparent dialog they were very secretive and siloed on communication. Recruiting cannot be trusted and send you back a word salad response. Very poor at communication and I will never apply again with this company. Many individuals on my former team worked for this company including Sr Leadership who retired from there.
- It wasn't the questions that were a challenge. It was the fact they give a very friendly persona, DO NOT ask questions that are a concern or a challenge even when you exceed the job description but seeking the role and can easily help the company to achieve better financials, keep them out of legal issues and ability to support the stakeholders. Again, Beware, do not trust them and wouldn't even consider applying again.

I actually interviewed here twice. Once in December and another time in April but with different people. Both times they could communicate what they do but didn't know what they were looking for. I was told that the person in the role from December "didn't work out" so they wanted to change the role. It seemed like a dreadful company. I didn't get a coherent answer when I asked if they implemented changes based on employee feedback, a huge red flag with interviewing.
- What are examples of marketing campaigns you have worked on?

Overall I would avoid this company based on my brief encounter with HR. Applied to the role and the HRBP sent me an email with 12 questions in an email. All essentially would be normal interview questions. I replied that I would be happy to answer these interview like questions and set up an interview. She replied, "It sounds like this position is not a good fit for you." Oddest thing I have ever seen and that is saying a lot with 10 years in Talent Acquisition.
- Why are you looking for a new opportunity? Please tell me about your experience with proactive sourcing. Please tell me about your experience with recruiting metrics. We do not currently have a TA team, so this role will be building the TA function as well as being very hands-on to high-volume recruiting, is this something you have done or would be interested in? Our budget for this role is $75k – $85k with 10% bonus potential, is that within your range?

2 phone interviews and one in person interview. I spent over an hour on both phone interviews and the one on one lasted an hour and fifteen minutes. The in person interview was more of a conversational type interview.
- Describe my demeanor in difficult circumstances.

Applied online - Received a call and did a short phone interview. They called back and setup an in person interview. After that I received an offer about 4 days later
- Do you know what an IP address is? Do you know how to make an RJ45 Cable end? Are you comfortable climbing ladders, and being on roof tops?

Took About 20 min. Couple simple questions. Like tell me about yourself. What’s your current position and why do you want to work here. Then I had to sell my phone.
- Tell me about yourself and previous sales experience.

Sent in online application. Got a call minutes later from a person that would be my manager for quick interview. Flew out the following week (they would have been fine with video interview, but I preferred in-person). Met my manager. There were supposed to be more people in the meeting (VP, Two Procurement Managers, HR) but a last minute meeting in the other office called them away. After my interview with the person that would be my manager, HR conferenced in and asked me a few questions. My manager gave me a feel for what they were expecting, the industry, their challenges, and the team. Then the manager scheduled meeting for me to chat with another procurement manager to give me more of a feeling for the company and roll. We had this meeting over the phone a week later. I got a call the next day with a job offer, salary, and they were flexible on start date. I'd done my research on the company and did a lot of prep, so I didn't find the interview challenging. Be honest about your capabilities. They want the right attitude, someone with an internal drive/self motivated, and resourceful.
- Why did you leave your old company?

terrible. unprofessional. seemed unprepared and last minute. Seemed like the person interviewing did not have time or was not interested. The training course is 2 weeks of wasted time. I could have done the job the second I was hired.
- have you had experience?

Contacted by Recruiter initially who found my resume on Indeed, had phone interview with her. Then had phone interview with one of the managers in Colorado, had another phone interview with regional sales manager, and lastly an in-person interview with regional sales manager. Entire process took about 2 weeks
- Why would you be a good fit for the position?
- How do you feel about cold calling?
- What is your availability?
- What type of sales experience have you had in the past?

The interview process for me included a quick screening call from the recruiter and then a separate face-to-face interview with the hiring manager and two VPs. The process was very quick, and the recruiter was great at communicating next steps, and very responsive. Everyone that I came into contact with at Rise was unfailingly friendly, and I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy throughout the process, which is always a good indicator of how a company treats its employees in the long-term. I am excited to join the Rise Broadband team.
