I had three interviews - one with a recruiter, another with the hiring manager, third was a project and panel. I spent a lot of time (free labor) on my project. I was assured by the hiring manager I was a top candidate. A week later I hadn't heard back and the recruiter asked me to check my spam inbox where I found an automated rejection letter. I was super disappointed in the process; why put a candidate through an entire project and presentation then send an automated rejection letter - don't make potential candidates put time into something if you aren't willing to humanize the process from the other side of the fence.
