      Sales Executive Interview

      May 3, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Newcastle upon Tyne, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sage (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Mar 2016

      Interview

I had a 1 to 1 interview with one of the Sales Managers (Gary Scott - he's one of the best sales managers you could possibly meet. Incredible in work ethic and could motivate a dead horse) The interview lasted one hour and tested all aspects of my personality as well as my skills within selling.

      Question 1

They asked you to sell a mobile phone

      Sales Executive Interview

      Sep 15, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Witney, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sage (Witney, England) in Aug 2014

      Interview

Presentation on a subject chosen by Sage, followed by more generic competency based questions, followed by a more relaxed Q&A session. The interview lasted 3 hours which is the longest interview I've ever undertaken, but I had a good understanding of the role afterwards and I think the interviewing team were keen to find someone who both could "do-the-do" and would fit into the sales team from a personality perspective.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was asked questions about the financial performance of Sage to see if I'd done my homework.

      Declined offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sage (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2014

      Interview

The interview was informal at first as they were squeezed to get staff in. It was made relaxed initially before getting into the nitty gritty. Asked on the standard company history and my own experiences with examples asked.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Company history. How I dealt with stress. How I dealt with difficult colleagues. What was best type of management I worked for.
