      Territory Account Executive Interview

      Nov 29, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Salesforce (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2024

      Interview

I recently went through the interview process for Territory Account Executive at Salesforce, and unfortunately, it was an incredibly frustrating experience due to poor time management and lack of follow-through from the recruitment team. Here’s what happened: Initial Recruiter Interactions: I interviewed with two different recruiters who both contacted me at separate times. After these conversations, they encouraged me to formally apply for the role so we could move forward to the next stage with the hiring manager. Unexplained Delays: I was told that the next step would be a meeting with the hiring manager, but despite being reassured multiple times, this meeting never happened. I waited for over two weeks without any update or explanation, despite following up. Lack of Professionalism: Overall, there was a clear lack of coordination and respect for candidates' time. It felt like they were disorganized and overcommitted, which resulted in a poor candidate experience. The entire process gave me the impression that the company does not value candidates’ time or take their hiring processes seriously. It’s disappointing because I was genuinely excited about the role and the company. If this is how they handle potential employees, it raises concerns about how they manage their internal processes. I hope this feedback helps them improve their recruitment practices in the future.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (London, England) in Mar 2025

      Interview

It felt like a huge achievement to even secure the interview with Salesforce. From the start the recruiter was so incredibly helpful, you really feel like they want you to get the job and they support you in every way you need. The interviews were difficult but enjoyable - make sure you prepare as you will get found out quickly if you don't. The panel interview especially was the hardest interview I've ever had, they asked a lot of difficult questions, challenged me, and interrupted me at one point. All interjections and questions were fair - they don't try to catch you out on anything. But you need to think about the kind of objections they might bring up when preparing. I applied on 3rd March, recruiter screening call on 7th March, interview with RVP on 14th March, panel interview on 26th March, and interview with AVP on 27th March. Verbal offer received 10 mins after final interview.

(Context - I work in Professional Services and have no prior experience of SaaS) PS is very different to SaaS sales, how do you think you'd cope with the challenge of learning a completely new sales process?

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce in Feb 2025

      Interview

Straight forward process. First recruiting coordinator call is important, be prepared to go through your work history, why you want salesforce/the job etc. After initial recruiter call, handed off to the recruiter you'll work with through the rest of the process. Next step is a video call interview. If you make it, then you go to the presentation round. I highly suggest getting a referral from someone. Ask the recruiter questions throughout so you get a good feel for what they expect.

      Interview

Interview process was very straight forward , the recruiter was very transparent the whole way through with the process. Hiring Managers were very honest about the role and asked specific questions to make sure your experience can be applicable to the role. Presentation is key to getting the role! Overall it is not easy, do the research, do the work. They will know if you did actual work on it. It is the most interviewing and prep I've ever done for a role. But this is SALESFORCE! 100% worth it.
