The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sam's Club in Sep 2018
Interview
Had a first round of telephonic interview with a sr. Product manager and then another an onsite interview with the hiring manager. Later was scheduled for another onsite interview with the team, the day before the group onsite interview they mailed stating that this position was offered to another candidate. Pretty much wasted my time and energy. For a company of this magnitude, pretty much inefficient and are unprofessional at best
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sam's Club (San Bruno, CA) in Aug 2023
Interview
I interviewed for a Principal Product Manager role at Sam's Club. I have 10 years experience as a PM and I am currently a Principal at a different company and so this would be a lateral move for me. The reason why I interviewed was because Walmart/Sam's Club will provide more money.
I had a recruiter call first and then a case interview with 2 product managers 3 weeks before. The case interview went well. It was a typical "Product Sense" interview.
It has been 3 weeks since the interview and I am still waiting to hear back! I tried calling the recruiter directly and sent 2 follow up emails to the recruiter. I sent an email to the people who interviewed me thanking them for their time. No response at all!
I am never again interviewing at Walmart/Sam's Club again. How long does it take to compose a simple email even if I am rejected? It will take them 2 seconds to copy/paste my email address and pick one reject email template. If they don't even have the basic courtesy to do that and if they want to keep the interviewee hanging, then screw them. Thanks for wasting my time! Extremely unprofessional company. In a way, I am glad because I feel I dodged a bullet.
