I have been working at Sam's Club full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get chances to move upward

    Cons

Man power is being reduced, so at times you are performing someone else's job, resulting in under performance in your own department.

    Advice to Management

You guys need to speak up to your seniors. You suppose to be "managing", that means doing mental work as to how to improve the work flow and member experience at the same time. Instead, you are so many times bogged down in doing all the physical work.

I have been working at Sam's Club full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good starting pay, opportunities to advance, college tuition aid, strong team based environment

    Cons

Overtime rarely permitted, necessary to work 12+ hour days and cut hours to avoid overtime, schedule can be all over the place, high stress, under staffed, yearly raises for hourly associates are terrible (25 cents per year or often less)

    Advice to Management

Hire larger teams. Often, corporate management would demand more than the team could reasonably accomplish. Hiring people costs money,, but ultimately makes more money as we will have more product available, presentation will remain impeccable, and members will return more often to higher level of service.
