I worked at Sam's Club full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Family like atmosphere with a single purpose of taking care of the Clubs members. Good relationships can be built out of working here.

    Cons

Too much a disparity in expectations among associates. Especially if you're a male you're expected to most of the difficult physical tasks along with your actual job requirements. While your female counterparts get "desk duties" and get paid the same as you will.

    Advice to Management

Management at every club seems to create a day and nights type of conflict where the night crew gets treated like animals and can kill morale. The bloodline of that business is with overnight stockers and hi-los yet there is little to no recognition given and just verbal beatdowns regardless of the work being done.

I worked at Sam's Club full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fast paced work environment. Always something to do.

    Cons

Lack of support/understanding from the day side crew/management. It was very frustrating having issues leftover from the day crew and causing set backs for us at night. The opening managers almost always gave us a hard time with the Club not being in perfect condition.

    Advice to Management

Please retrain and get to know the overnight struggles and responsibilities. Especially on nights where there are more than one associate that has called out or on vacation.

Sam's club gives us free soda every Friday. We also get a free meal once a month. Flexible with your schedule. Very easy job.

    Cons

No training. Terrible management. You work every single weekend. Terrible scheduling. Only two cashiers work on a Saturday night.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the scheduled every week.
