    Good Company!

May 25, 2023 - Membership Manager in Billings, MT
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

I enjoyed working at Sams Club but like any J.O.B. it got redundant. I trained the cashiers on how to sell a credit card and upgrade memberships and loved working with the associates. After a year, I just got tired of working 10 hour days. you make about a 45k base plus an extra 5k per quarter when you hit your targets.

    Cons

Anytime you are putting in more hours than 8 you need to put a calculator to it so you can have an idea of what you are really making. Sometimes management or being a manager is not all it is cracked up to being. That's true for any sales job.

It was a great experience but only problem was the TEAM LEAD

May 13, 2023 - Personal Shopper in Woodstock, GA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Part-time doesn't get any benefits but if you go full-time, there is plenty of benefits. The staff and coworkers are understanding but there were also alot of schedule problems that weren't addressed in a timely manner. Other than that it's a pretty lowkey job, just the Team lead doesn't do his job.

    Cons

The Team Lead would continously take long breaks and discourage his team. That motivates people less to come into work or even get their job done.

    Pros

My cousin worked there too but I never got to see him

    Cons

Bad pay, they didn’t know when I was working next, you had no choice but to work 8 hours, I was a cashier before this job but they never let me actually use the register. They let me watch instead. Poor training, low pay, no benefits, no room for growth.

Horrible Management, No training for new employees

May 17, 2023 - Cashier, Sales in Port Saint Lucie, FL
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

    Reasonable Pay, Great Member Benefits

    Cons

Bad Management Favoritism with certain associates Horrible Scheduling Lack of Appreciation When there are issues management cannot be found and if they are they take themselves out of the equation and expect associates to solve problems designated for them (management). I started working there end of 2022 left early 2023 because I was not given proper training. I interviewed for one position and was thrown into multiple positions with very little or no training, I had to figure things out myself. We cannot teach new hires if we are not trained it makes us look stupid. Another thing, they push you to sell credit REALLY HARD and expect you to annoy the customers into getting their credit cards, if you don't sell you are frowned on.

    Challenging

May 15, 2023 - Store Team Leader in Monroeville, PA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

IF your store does well, you will get a nice quarterly bonus...unless your MXVoice Scores are low (due to BS comments and things your store can't control).

    Cons

NEVER enough help. The Club Pickup Lead/Personal Shoppers/Ship From Club Team is forever stressed. Corporate wants you and your team to pick way too many items, orders, shipments with the bare minimum possible. Good luck if someone on your team calls off.

May 24, 2023 - Cafe Associate in Charleston, SC
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

You get to interact with different people and The hours.

    Cons

The disrespect and manipulation that is aost forced to endure is toxic. There is no training there, no structure, no professionalism. The machines are always breaking down and staying broke for weeks at a time. The atmosphere at Sam's Club is stressful, negative, lies and toxic. You can't grow at this Sam's Club

    Good job after high school

    May 1, 2023 - Sales Associate/Cashier in Houston, TX
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

They offer a gym membership that allows you to have memberships at different gyms at a time. It’s a decent job. If you are good at selling, this is the job for you. There are times where you have to work at membership, front/exit greeter, and even cart attendant at times. If the opportunity comes, you could even become a Lead.

    Cons

Favoritism is high in my location and if you want a job in a different department, it takes a while for them to view your application, even if you remind them multiple times and apply multiple times.

It good most of the time

    May 18, 2023 - Tire Technician
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Most of the management does what they need to do and ensures that the workers have what they need for work and home life to be equally accommodated.

    Cons

Some people are in management positions that just blatantly shouldn't be and the company seems to have no way of weeding them out.

    Only Recommend as Part-Time

    Apr 19, 2023 - Personal Shopper
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

It is a good job if you are in need of a part time job while either doing school or other work. The scheduling is super flexible. The pay is competitive over other retail jobs.

    Cons

This job is extreamly exhausting. I walk about 22k to 30k steps for each 8 hour shift. The company is also very profit focused and only cares about numbers more than the employees. Expectations are hard to meet and when you finally do, instead of being praised the expectations are raised. There is also a lot of drama in the company and some of the management is not helpful at all. There are only a few good people out of everyone working there.
