Communication was done all through email, inquiring about my interest in the position, portfolio, availability for an in person interview, ect. Throughout the the whole process I was incredibly impressed, people were very nice, knowledgeable, and honest. I was blown away when I walked into the lobby, it was gorgeous, architecturally beautiful and designed wonderfully. First impressions were great, the office area was open, modern, and comfortable. The interview itself went great, I was impressed with the benefits they offer, the company values and goals. This was the company I had been looking to start a career with and the job I was made for. At the interview they had said they wanted to fill the position quickly, before the holidays, and I would be hearing about a decision within the next week. I left feeling amazing and so excited. Sent a thank you email the minute I got home, and after that is when my view on the company diminished. I waited a week after the interview, after hearing nothing, to send a follow up email asking how the process was going, that I was still very interested in the position and if a decision was made, I heard nothing. A week later I sent another email asking for any type of update, again nothing. I still have yet to hear anything, not even a "thank you but we have decided to go with someone else."
To me it shows a lot about a company that can't even take five minutes to tell an interviewee that they have decided to go with another person or contact them in some regards. It's sad to have had this experience, they really seem like an amazing company to work for, but won't ever know.
