The interview process was 4 steps total:
Initial intake call with a recruiter
Interview with a hiring manager
A take home assessment and presentation to a small panel
Final interview with the CEO
Overall the process was okay - the recruiter I initially spoke with was extremely friendly and responsive. The hiring managers were awesome - easy to talk to, very conversational interviews, and gave helpful feedback. The take home assignment did take a bit of time but given the profile they are looking for it makes sense. This role is more of a hybrid between recruiting and sales.
The final interview with the CEO is where things went down hill - this call is only booked for 15 minutes. He arrived 5 minutes late to our call and then had to disconnect to restart his modem for another 3 minutes which left us with a disjointed 7 minutes for him to decide weather or not I was a fit for his team. This call was also advised to me as a culture conversation, but he asked me 3 behavioral questions before having to disconnect for another meeting. Overall I felt I performed strongly in my other interviews - so being rejected off of a 7 minute rushed chat was surprising. Note to the CEO: our time is valuable too, and I invested a lot of time into this process. I respected your team, so please respect your candidates.
Best of luck to others who want to work under this leadership!
