I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (Pullman, WA) in May 2016
Interview
Applied online, their apply website is outdated, paste text format of your resume. Then got phone called back within a week. Then scheduled a phone interview with their HR person. It was 30 mins phone interview. They asked general questions for the first half, and 'technical questions' for the second half. Have to say for the general questions, the person sounded very dis-genuine. I could feel the 'fake' attitude. The most dumb thing is the second half 'technical questions', the HR person asked very basic circuit questions with numbers, then asked you to do the calculation and give then numeric answers. She was basically reading script from their engineers who come up with these questions, so when I asked to clarify a few things, she was kind of rude since she did not know what I was asking about. HR person is not going to know the theory behind the calculation, but simply seeing the wrong numeric results doe not tell much. With years of experience in details real world circuits design, it was a little funny to be questioned as if I may not know that.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (Pullman, WA) in Nov 2012
Interview
It consisted of three phone interviews:
1. My first phone interview was conducted by HR. It consisted of few HR questions followed by basic circuit theory questions.
2. My second phone interview was conducted by the hiring manager. This time the questions were related to my resume.
3. My third interview was conducted by the hiring manager and senior engineer.I was asked a lot of technical questions. Unlike, the first two interviews this did not go too well. I got a call few days later saying I am no longer considered for this job.
