      Interview

Application Submission: This typically includes a resume, cover letter, and sometimes transcripts or test scores. Some firms might also ask for a writing sample or answers to specific questions. Online Tests: Some firms require candidates to take aptitude tests that assess analytical skills, mathematical proficiency, and situational judgment. Examples include the McKinsey Problem Solving Test (PST) or the BCG Potential Test. First Round Interviews: This usually consists of one or two interviews. Each interview often has two parts: Personal Experience Interview (PEI): The interviewer will ask about your resume, experiences, and behavioral questions to gauge how you handle challenges, work in teams, and lead initiatives. Case Interview: This is a business problem that you're asked to solve. It tests your analytical skills, business acumen, and ability to think on your feet. You'll be expected to structure the problem, ask the right questions, and drive towards a solution. Second (or Final) Round Interviews: If you pass the first round, you'll be invited for more interviews, which are often with more senior members of the firm. These interviews will again typically consist of PEI and case interviews. The cases might be more complex, and you might also get group case exercises or presentations. Group Exercises or Presentations: Some firms include a group exercise to see how candidates work in teams. You might be given a business problem to solve as a group or be asked to prepare a presentation. Partner Interview: In some firms, especially the larger ones, the final round might include an interview with a partner. This can be a mix of PEI, case, and more informal discussions to gauge fit with the firm's culture. Offer: If you successfully navigate all the rounds, you'll receive a job offer. This will detail your role, salary, benefits, and other terms of employment. Feedback: Some firms provide feedback after the interview process, whether you receive an offer or not. This can be invaluable for understanding areas of improvement.
