I initially received a very informal email from a recruiter. I thought it was a scam. I hesitantly replied. I then received reply with phone interview times. Very informal, still thinking it’s a scam. I get a reply with an appt for my phone interview. The day and time comes and no phone call. I check my email and receive another email from same recruiter that they are in the hospital for said specific illness. Again I still think this is a scam.
We reschedule the phone interview. I finally get the phone call and I was truly expecting “give my your full SSN so I can pull up your file” or something like that due to the informal first contact. Turns out to be legit - just very shaky foundation set. So they go over the normal info - telling me about SVB and what the position is. Specifically they didn’t know what the position was. Still intrigued I continue with the interview process. They schedule another phone interview with one of the department managers. I do the phone interview. You can really tell this manager is very wet behind the ears. Again even the department manager doesn’t know what the position is. Apparently it’s still in the works. The interview finishes and I get an email from a different contact telling me they want me to come in for 3 face to face interviews. I agree. I get there and I face to face interview with the person I had the phone interview. Basic behavioral questions. Tells me they are not the hiring manager. Move onto the next interview. Basic behavioral question. They tell me they are not the hiring manager. Finally get to interview with the hiring manager I assume. All said and done no one contacts me for any resolution. I email a week later. Receive an email shortly after that I was not selected to move forward. I’ve heard that this is a great place to work. Unfortunately the recruiting process was very shady and very unprofessional at its inception. The face to face interviews where great .I guess it was the recruiter. It was very unfortunate that no one knew what the job entailed specifically.
