I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Melbourne)
Interview
Long. I went through five individual interviews across three weeks ranging from 30 mins to 1.5hrs all while working at my current role. Everything was positive until the 'final' interview where the last person I spoke to did not seem like they really were interested from the second they walked into the meeting room.
I was left on hold for about two weeks after the final interview in which I was sent an email saying you were great but we are not what we are after/heading in a different direction - The usual copy paste rejection you would expect from a large company.
I emailed a follow-up request with HR to ask for feedback relating to my strengths/weaknesses and was simply told: no, we will not/do not provide this information. I sent a followup email asking if they could explain why this was the case and if I was more suited to the other role I was in the initial interview phase for. I received no reply to this email so I decided to withdraw my application for the second role as to not waste more of my time.
I found this whole experience confusing after as the floor manager's conversations were along the lines of "when we start you next month we will x, y, z"
While the management was faultless in their engagement, the HR could performed a little better

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2022

The interview process was lengthy but very thorough. Everyone was very engaging and made it feel at ease. 1. Written Assignment (pre screening) - 5 situation/behavioral questions 2. Screening call with the Recruiter - Basic personal questions/requirements 3. 2nd call with the Recruiter - More detailed questions about the position/ what I am looking for in a job/company 4. Zoom meeting with the Manager - History/ Experiences / Expectations 5. Zoom meeting with 2 existing Team members - History/ General questions / Situation based questions 6. Wrap-up with the Manager and then ending with the Recruiter - Last questions/ expectations The recruiter has very helpful in explaining each step and providing assistance with what to expect next. Very impressed!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2022
Interview
The interview process was very straight-forward. I first talked with HR over Zoom for a phone screening. Next was a written assessment and a 1-1 interview with the hiring manager. Next was a panel interview with another manager and team mate. My HR rep called me beforehand to help me prepare with different questions that they might ask.
