      Software QA Analyst Interview

      Jul 14, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Kitchener, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sonova (Kitchener, ON) in Jun 2015

      Interview

I had 4 interviews. The first was with the QA Manager and a member of the QA team, the second was with HR, the third was with the QA Manager and a department Director, the 4th was with the QA manager again and another department director. During the first interview, about 5 or 6 critical thinking questions were asked. These are all readily available to be searched on the internet so it's more of "which ones have you seen before". The Second interview was a standard interview with the HR Manager, she's a very nice lady. The third interview some more generic questions were asked, some repeats of the first interview. The fouth interview were more questions about me and what my interests are. None of the questions in the interview really focus on the role. This is not a company like Google and I feel that 4 interviews was very unnecessary and wasteful of everyone's time. No, I did not get an offer, but would have appreciated some feedback as to what didn't match up, instead I just received the standard "your skills don't meet what we're looking for" e-mail from HR. If this is the case, it should not take 4 interviews to come to that conclusion. Very unprofessional by management. Overall, the company seems like a decent place to work with a good product, but like other reviews mention, the issues stem from management. Specifically in QA, all I really learned about the team was that the Manager built the team and it is "her baby".
