      Integration & Test Engineering Interview

      Nov 6, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter after submitting my resume online. I was told I was going to have three interviews. The recruiter told me the first two interviews with engineers from the team would be technical and the third would be with the hiring manager. It was not clear what technical questions would be asked since the team was very interdisciplinary. My first interview was with a senior engineer. Thought it went well, heard back six days after from the recruiter. My second interview was with a different senior engineer. It was the most difficult interview I'd ever done, was not sure if I was going to get an offer. Followed up two weeks later when I had not heard anything since I had an expiring offer from a different company. Got a call two days later with an offer.

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX in May 2015

      Interview

I applied online for avionics intern but got contacted for an interview with I&T. They emailed me which lead to a preliminary phone interview with HR. They went over basics, logistics, and a lot of intern stuff, though I hadn't gotten the job yet. Then I had a phone interview with my manager for about an hour. It was very laid back and not stressful. We joked around a bit, talked about my resume, and at one point were talking about Star Trek. I heard back after about a week. The entire process took about 3 weeks total. Once I had my offer I had 1 or 2 weeks to complete all necessary paperwork. There was a background check but I'm not creepy so I passed. There was no drug test.
