1. Screening interview with the recruiter. This was a phone call.
2. Interview with the hiring manager. Virtual
3. Fly to WA. (Present a project you have done in the past) 15 minutes.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at SpaceX (Hawthorne, CA) in Jun 2023
Interview
The interview process is straightforward. Phone interviews allow for limited bias. It really just seems like they do not know what they are looking for. Meeting the requirements is easy, but the way they rate your experience from interviews is insane. I believe they just hire from within and waste time from outside candidates.

Question 1
How would you handle an increase in volume? What’s your 3/6month plan for this?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX in Jun 2021
Interview
A recruiter called to tell me the base pay before starting the screening process. It was odd and almost as if they hoped it would discourage me from moving forward with the interview. I eventually interviewed with a couple of employees and managers. Everyone was cordial however it was clear they were not interested in my experience and it was more a matter of whether they liked me or not. Most of the questions were not relevant to my skills and were condescending. The silver lining is I will not work with individuals who project their insecurities onto motivated and capable talent. The compensation is not competitive.
