I applied online. I interviewed at Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Jan 2017
Interview
The event started at 7am & it takes a while to check in since they are checking your passport & splitting you into groups. Spirit truly needs to do away with the fish bowl question. There is no way you can get to know someone based on a question that they literally have 30secs to 1 min to answer. At least go through the entire interview process and allow everyone the chance to gets a 2 on 1 or 1 on 1 interview with the recruiter. They need to go back to doing video interviews or let everyone actually interview. Many people fly in from other states & pay hotel accommodations to be turned away when they weren't given the proper chance.
After the fishbowl questions, they send you on a 20 min break. Once you come back, if your number is called, they let you go home. Once they lead you outside, the smiles disappear.
FYI: the black lady(dark skin) from either HR or who was a flight attendant was very rude. You should not be making faces while people are up doing their "presentation".
I can see why they rate dead last in customer service among the other airlines. They should take their own advice on "smiles being free".
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask you questions like "how would you describe the color yellow to a blind person?', what's your greatest strength/weakness?, what would someone who does not like you say about you? If a close friend were to write a book about you, what would it be called?, what are 3 adjectives to describe you? , describe customer service, What would you change about your last supervisor?...etc
Did a presentation. Moved onto a Group interview then 1 on 1. Then you wait in a room then call you in a group at a time to tell you got the job or not.

Interview
Hiring event with other hopeful candidates. Day filled with networking, interviewing and just showcasing your personality. There are informational sessions, Q&A sessions, 1-on-1 interviews. It's a full day, come prepared with water and snacks (flats for the ladies if you'll be wearing heels).
I applied over the website. They send out emails. You reply to the email with your availability. They sent me a link to a Zoom call. Asked me personality questions and then we set up another interview in Houston Texas.
