I applied online. I interviewed at Sprouts Farmers Market
Interview
Unfortunately I did not check the previous reviews for this role, but I had the exact same experience as the other individuals who interviewed for this position. I also communicated with the same person from Phoenix, and it was honestly the most uncomfortable and worst interview I have ever experienced. My response to the first “tell me about yourself” question was met with a condescending tone and sigh that made me question my qualifications. Prior to this interview, I was feeling quite confident for once because I felt that I matched all the qualifications and had the right experience that would allow me to be successful in this role. I never would have thought that my confidence could be crushed so quickly. She then read from a long script that included working 50+ hours a week, driving 40-50 miles occasionally, etc.. Throughout the call, there were periods of awkward silence because I did not really know what to say without her getting defensive. Honestly, after the first question, I no longer wanted the job and now I have no plans to pursue other opportunities within this company.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Sprouts Farmers Market (Natick, MA)
Interview
It appears that several people already wrote about this specific recruiter. Unfortunately, I had a similar highly negative and unprofessional experience with her. This was for the new college grad assistant store manager training program. I wish I could drop her name to benefit anyone else thinking of applying so she could be held accountable for her unprofessionalism. However, the most I will provide is that she is based in Phoenix and is in charge of recruiting for post- college programs.
I have never, ever, encountered a recruiter so unenthusiastic, dismissive, and rude during an interview. She talked a mile a minute about the program (whilst never stopping to let me ask questions) and it was glaringly obvious that she was just reading off of a paper. She sighed constantly while I answered questions, maintained a monotone uninterested tone, and when I did ask questions she was very condescending and almost stand offish and defensive. It was very weird and within only a few minutes of talking to her, I no longer wanted to apply. Not because I didn’t have anything to offer but because her attitude was so incredibly unpleasant. I literally had to sit for a few seconds after the call in silence. Just shocked by how incredibly rude this person was.
She appears to have a track record recently of doing this…so if I were Sprouts and cared about returning applicants, I’d probably have a serious conversation with this woman. She is quite literally making people not want to pursue any future opportunities at Sprouts.
And if you’re a college grad, I wouldn’t apply to work for any new grad management roles. 1) their website had the wrong dates for several programs, 2) they consistently mentioned 50+hrs/wk of work and 3) “resilience to change” and “high independence” are keywords for a lack of mentorship or support from a program. Aka you will be overworked and underpaid. In 2024, there are other more worthwhile leadership development programs where interviewers don’t make you feel terrible. Do better.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sprouts Farmers Market (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2024
Interview
Was a phone call interview with the recruiter. She seemed very impatient and mentioned she had other people to interview and my interview time interrupted that. When reading questions to me it seemed I was a bother to her and she didn't want to interview me.
