I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Seattle, WA)
Interview
Convoluted and confusing. The phone interviews were rushed and not at all remotely thorough. Was invited in for face to face, expecting deeper conversations. Nope. Getting there was a challenge, was told they would email me a parking pass, that didn't happen, spend $36 on valet parking. Each interview (of 6) was 30 minutes, not enough to really get into experience or strategy discussions. One actually just fired off question after question for 30 minutes, never looking up from her laptop once. At one point there was a panel interview with the team I would be managing, that was ackward to say the least. They didn't want to be there, and spent the time sipping coffee and staring at the clock.
Be prepared for their culture, they love their coffee (everyone speaks to this numerous times), its cubicle land (VP's get offices), no parking in SODO, and as much as they try to say there are no egos (the middle management is littered with them).
I was trying to convince myself of the job, and how I would eventually like the atmosphere.

Question 1
Mostly situational
Very few strategy-which is disappointing. Fairly sure they have no clue on setting a meaningful strategy, and will keep doing what they have been doing for decades.
Nice people. It was hard to gauge how it went. I like the offices. Wasn’t too hard of an interview. I had to add some numbers and talk about past jobs.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks
Interview
The process was very straightforward, professional and easy going. I enjoyed our conversation and have no complaints about the outreach or interview. Even though I didn’t move forward, they still called to let me know which I appreciated.

Question 1
More in depth details on my current role and experience. Standard interview question and I was happy to elaborate. On-site location in Seattle 4 days a week was also discussed.
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks!
Friendly and clear process, includes situational and behavioral questions, panel interview with proper timelines, close follow up from the recruiter and it was always a great communication, possibility to ask questions, culture, etc.
