I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at State Street (Sacramento, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
I recently interviewed for the Derivative position at State Street. Great office location right outside of downtown Sacramento. Checked in with security on my arrival. My interviewers were both a few minutes late to my interview.
We walked through the office which was dead silent of well over 30 people. The questions were read off a sheet of paper and were very basic at that. The interviewers showed almost no enthusiasm when reading them to me. Although my interviewers were somewhat conversational, the interview was awkward.
Overall it seems like a good environment with hard working people. Did not seem like there was too much of a culture or vibe with the department as a whole. If you're looking for solid technical skills, this is the place to do it, but there won't be much excitement in my opinion.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at State Street (Kilkenny) in Jan 2017
Interview
2 phone interviews. 10-15 mins long, a week or two apart. Face to face interview with 2 people two weeks after second phone call. Got offered job a few days later and started a month later.
