      Interview

I had an appointment for an online interview at 2:00 p.m., I joined the call few minutes before just in case there is something wrong with the connection or anything, and she actually joined the call 8 minutes later. She did not apologize for being late or anything, she just said she was late because she was busy. She did not share her video, and I thought this is something weird also. Then, she asked me if I am okay with her having her lunch while interviewing me. I was amazed, this is totally unprofessional, I said "Sure, no problem." This is my mistake I agreed with her, I should have quitted the meeting and wished her a good luck in finding the candidate that fits her. Then, she asked me something that made me feel worse, she told, "Give me a second, I need to take a look at your resume.", really?! If I have done my job researching everything about the bank and being prepared for this interview, then maybe the least you can do is to take a look at my resume 5 minutes before the interview, that's it. She spent 2 minutes looking at it (God knows if she was even looking at it), then she told me, "Tell me about yourself.", I answered her. Then, she asked me "What is List Comprehension?", I asked her to repeat the question, and in fact I did not know what the List Comprehension is, but instead of saying sorry I don't know, I said what I know about the list in general and how it is used, and asked her if my answer is even close to what she is looking for. She told me, "After we're done with this interview, google it so you know what it means." I told her that I will. Then she asked another question, and I could not hear her well (or I don't know the term, I guess we'll never know), I asked her to repeat the question, and at this moment she told me, "You know what, thank you for your time. We need someone who is good with Python. Good luck with you job search." I looked at the time, I have been only less than 10 minutes being interviewed, 2 minutes of them she's looking at my resume, what the hell is that?! I replied, "The fact that one does not know the technical terms does not mean they don't know how to apply them. I am good at Python, I can't prove it over the phone, but I can share with you codes that I have written, I have been working for around 6 months using only Python, I have been the only developer in my team, and we built a product from scratch in Python." She told me, "Prove me you know Python.", I was really nervous and I start telling her about one of my projects, it did not prove anything, it did not occur to me that I can share my screen and go to my GitHub or anything. She turned me down in a bit later.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TD (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2020

      Interview

Terrible Experience. The interviewer asked for my availability and then changed the interview time 3 times, once 5 minutes before the interview. I got the interview in a time slot that I said I'm not available so I had to cancel my plans for the day. She showed up 5 minutes after we supposed to have the interview with no video and when I asked she said I was busy with the meetings and have no time to setup the camera. She asked about myself and when I was explaining I could hear the sound of dishes moving and cleaning, I'm pretty sure she didn't even pay attention to my explanation. It was so loud that at some point I lost my focus on what I was explaining. Then she asked some questions about Python documentation and she wanted the exact answers from the documentation. I told her I wrote code in Python for almost 5 years and I know the context but if she wants to know the exact definition of for example a class or list I have to copy it from Python documentation. After this, she said "you know what, I'm not gonna continue this interview. Please check the documentation before you apply." and I was just amazed how rude she was and yet she was recruiting for such a Large company like td.
