    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at TIMWETECH.

    Interview

I was contacted via Linkedin, went there 2 times for interviews. For the second interview they made me wait for almost half an hour, I think it was deliberate. I was interviewed by the HR director and by the CEO.

    Interview Questions

    • They kind of challenged my CV, a few though questions. not the best feeling when you leave.
Overall the interview went well, but you leave without knowing what will happen, because if the CEO just does´t like your face... your out.   2 Answers

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at TIMWETECH.

    Interview

Multiple interviews with different persons inside the company, where the main subject was availability, experience and knowledge about the company work reality and context. Lack of flexibility to adjust time to interview, interviews running out of the scheduled time with delays up to 30 minutes. Lack of feedback and follow-up with the candidates. Decisions made by urgency in closing positions regardless of the adjustment of the candidate to the desired profile and requirements, although factors like timings and availability were never discussed as critical during all the interviews developed.

    Java Developer Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TIMWETECH (Lisbon (Portugal)) in February 2014.

    Interview

I had technical and HR interviews some time ago, and they wanted to know my career experience as well as my availability to work for extra hours. I've tried to know how the projects and teams are organized, however I was told that there is no documentation and their development is "dynamic", as in implementing what the clients tells them to. I've worked in organized projects where there are documentations and organization, and by their description, no wonder there is such a need for extra hours. And they did ask me a few times in different interviews if I am committed to do so. I don't mind a few extra hours from time to time, yet I can't accept doing so everyday just coz there is lack of management.

Also, I've asked several coworkers if they have ever heard of this company, and many of them have heard about it through friends or coworkers who worked there and quit shortly after being there due to too much extra hours and lack of managment.

After hearing so many negative opinions, I've decided to give up on continuing with the recruitment process as there are many much better opportunities around.

Got asked basic Java questions and soft skills questions. Fairly scripted and unimaginative, but the interviewer was nice.
After a while it was very obvious they were interested and after one or two days they contacted me with a contract proposal. Although the salary was quite disappointing I decided to accept since my visit to their offices quite impressed me.
