The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Sep 2010
Interview
I applied at one of the kiosk at the store. After I finished a manager came out and greeted me. We set up an interview time. The interview lasted about 45 mins. They were simple questions. Why do you want to work for Target? What is your experience? When have you gone above and beyond for a customer? What are your challenges? How would you deal with an unsatisfied customer?
It was very personable, and the interviewer was extremely friendly and upbeat.
Best advice: Be as upbeat as they are. Target loves friendly and I mean friendly. Smile, joke, and be easy.
I got a call back in less then a hour with a job offer.
The interview were very straightforward and the atmosphere was relaxed. I spoke with a shift lead and then the HR manager. The questions were typical and there was some discussions.
It was very quick and I was hired on immediately. I was a college student going to TAMU Galveston at the time. The team was pretty easy going but just not there to help me grow as an individual.

Question 1
How to handle certain situations that would happen in the real world revolving around a customer.
This was a few years ago, but I just went in and spoke with the manager in their office. Very casual and quick interview. Only 1 interview was required which was nice!
