I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Boulder, CO) in Jan 2012
Interview
I received a call to come in for an interview fairly quickly after submitting my application. Initially I was worried because I had been unable to put my actual availability into the online application so I went into the interview with my interviewer believing I had open availability. Fortunately, I was able to explain the situation right away. I had about a 25 minute interview with the woman who will be my team leader. It could have gone faster, but I paused a little to recall situational examples. The team leader was extremely nice and we laughed a bit together and she shared with me some of her own interviewing experience.
Afterwards I was told to wait for an interview with a manager. I didn't wait very long and the interview was even shorter. This had me worried because the man seemed like he had a million other things to be doing and that interviewing was not something he really wanted to spend time on. However, while I was waiting for the HR person to talk to me, the manager came back and gave me a piece of chocolate.
By far the most stressful part of the interview was the drug test. I had my interview at 12:00 on a Friday and the lab that facilitates the testing closed was only open from 1:30 to 3:00 that day and closed for the weekend (if you don't get your drug test in before 24 hours you are automatically bumped out of the system). So I had to rush down to the testing facility and get my test done and then rush off to my class that started at 2:00. Goodness!

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to work on a team to accomplish a common goal.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
It was interesting. Not hard at all, straightforward, and pretty open people. It was an okay interview and what you’d typically expect. So don’t stress stress it, I mean kinda try your best
