I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Richfield, MN) in Oct 2012
Interview
applyed online, recived a call within 4 days and was asked if i was still interested and wanted to do a phone interview the next day. the phone interview consist of 3 cattagories.. 1st why do you want to work for target, 2nd what are your strengths and weaknesses and 3rd they asked how you work with a team and ask you to give some examples of when you worked with a team.. later that day i recived a phonce call to have an interview with a manager in the store, they also asked me why i wanted to work at target and asked me a sceinario question like "what would you do if a customer was looking for a certain size shoe for her kid and they couldent find it on the shelfs" which you should reply saying you will check the back of the store and any close locations otherwise send them to customer service. if you pass that you will pretty much be told you have the job as long as you pass a drug/background check.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
It was interesting. Not hard at all, straightforward, and pretty open people. It was an okay interview and what you’d typically expect. So don’t stress stress it, I mean kinda try your best
