I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Philadelphia, PA) in Mar 2012
Interview
Very unpleasant experience. I attended career fair at our local university, and gave my resume to Target's representatives. A few days later I got a call from our career services inviting me for the interview. I went to Target's introduction session, and their representative was really surprised to see a person who had already graduated, while all other people selected for the interview were graduating from BS program. Target's representative told us there would be 2 people interviewing for the position, and the fact that I was interviewed by one very young person suggested the decision not to hire me had already been made beforehand. They need rookies for this position, not the professionals.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
