      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Riverside, CA) in Jun 2010

      Interview

Target was very fun, friendly and professional. I've been to several interviews and most of them seemed a little hostile or critical which can really affect your interview performance, but at target they made you feel comfortable as if you're already part of the company. First I had a phone interview and then they invited me to headquarters in Riverside to do 3 more interviews. I met with a STL (Store Team Leader), HR rep, and then finally the DTL (District Team leader). I was told that I would be contacted within a week with a response but 2 weeks passed and nothing. Finally I called and they told me that they were still very interested in me but had to go through a lot more interview candidates. Also I had one more final interview to go through with the DTL I was supposed to be working with; but he/she was on vacation until the next week. Several more weeks had passed and I thought that maybe Target had forgotten about me but thankfully they called and offered me the position! I guess I didn't have to go through that final interview. In every interview, they asked behavioral based questions and they really want a specific answer. I used a combination of work and school experiences to answer the questions. But don't be fooled, some of the questions are a little difficult to work with, so prepare and don't lie. Make sure that your answers show how you were able to lead or be an effective manager. All of the questions I was asked were already posted on this forum.

      Interview

Got the interview from a career fair. Met with one person who handled hiring and had a great conversation and had one other phone interview. Asked me relevant questions and I was excited about the role

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC)

      Interview

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Star format- they want a story for each accomplishment they inquire about.
