I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Nov 2010
Interview
interviewed for a ETL [position that wouldnt have started until jan 1st 2011, process started in october. started out with phone interview, immediately set up and continued with 2nd phone interview where i was asked 5 situational questions. Following that interview was told i would need to take an test online, which would take about a hour to complete. Consisted of 97 questions and would only take a hour if you didnt try, and just answered randomly, which probably would have left me with a better outcome. She told me on the phone that i would hear something late in the week after my assessment. that turned out to be 2 weeks and all i recieved was a email saying at this time they have decided to pursue another candidate. Love target and their atmosphere, however disliked their interviewing process, and the lack of respect the rep had for my time. How hard is it to do what you say your going to do? Since this experience ive debated on applying for other openings online, i think one would have better luck by going in store.

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
