I was invited to an interview, I prepared and everything, just for the manager to say that she never goes through any of the questions. Like they didn't even give me a chance to explain why my work experience would have been useful in the job.

Easy breezy, answer why you want to work there and they give you scenario questions which are easy to provide narrative on. Just use your initiative and they will hire you
