I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tesla (Fremont, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
Interviewed for about 7-9 people same day. Different areas from the company at Managerial level.
The offered lunch and paid for Transportation, Air fare, hotel, car rental, etc. They were friendly and professional. Not really an interview process, more of a questions session and past experiences. They explain the position and activities.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Palo Alto, CA) in Dec 2024
Interview
Pre-screening questions via email, screening call with recruiter, interview with hiring manager, panel interview (presentation, Q&A + 4 individual 30' interviews). The process took about 6 weeks. I was waiting to receive feedback from the panel interview when I noticed they had changed the job listing for the role I had applied to, requiring +3 yrs of experience more than in original listing. I reached out to the recruiter to follow up and received a generic rejection email the next morning.
