I was referred by someone that works in Tesla. I had 2 phone interviews before going on site for a full day interview where I talked with the whole team. The interview process was long. The HR was so slow and had time management issues. The interview also involved preparing a presentation about a project I did.

Detail oriented and knowledge tested to basic level.They are very precise in the questions. Resume reviewed thoroughly. Should focus on getting your concepts right about the job title.
Process started with a HR screening interview. After the initial interview there is a 1:1 with an an engineer. Finally there is a panel interview with engineers and managers. Make sure to know your technical details and be able to go in depth with any of your precious experience
