      Interview

Do they hire black people? My interview was very abrupt. I had the experience. I was never given a chance. They should review their hiring practices and stop posting fake job ads

      Interview

The interview process has been fast paced and definitely scripted, but they are nice and the questions aren’t too hard especially if you prepare enough. There are multiple interviews, and the hours seem to be long.

Interview was what was described. Fast paced and scripted. To the point and mention of hours and 50-60 hr work weeks were mentioned right away. Nothing was hidden in terms of what the expect and how they want their property managed .

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at The Connor Group

      Interview

I went through an extensive interview process that included six separate calls over the course of a month, followed by a full working day onsite. Throughout the entire process, I was consistently told the company was actively filling General Manager roles for two locations. However, when I arrived onsite, I was placed into training sessions for those same roles—which had apparently already been filled. When I asked for clarification about the purpose of my visit, I received vague and inconsistent answers, which made the experience feel disorganized and misleading. Despite this, I stayed fully engaged and treated the day like a working interview. I stepped in to help resolve multiple situations and even went as far as scrubbing bathrooms for a new tenant move-in because the condition was otherwise unacceptable. I wanted to demonstrate ownership and leadership at every level. I was ultimately passed on the next business day. What was most disappointing, though, was the complete lack of follow-up. After investing significant time and energy into the process, I reached out for feedback and never received a response. It’s frustrating to commit that level of effort only to be left without closure or basic professional courtesy—especially from an organization that emphasizes being “people first.” They could improve transparency about hiring needs and timelines, and ensure candidates are treated with respect throughout the process—including providing feedback after such a significant time investment. They should be clear that they are looking for candidates who are highly flexible and open to relocating on short or no notice.
