I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Miami, FL) in Sep 2017
Interview
I interviewed at my University after a University sponsored Job Fair. The interview consisted of two team-based tasks given by developers for the company. I was contacted via e-mail two weeks later with an offer letter and given one month to make my decision. This offer was for a Summer internship.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
My team of four was given a function divided into multiple slivers of paper (one line of code per piece) and asked to put the function together in order within 20 minutes.
Given all costs, space requirements and student preferences, design student dorms within a given budget. Design, budget, and pitch this idea in 20 minutes. This was done as a team of 4
Lots of behavioral questions and a technical question unscramble focusing on understanding your collaboration skills and communication skills done with another interviewee. Priority here is to show the interviewer you can work well in a team.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Zoomvliet) in Nov 2024
Interview
One HR phone call: how much experience in this or that language? tell me about your projects. Etc etc
One technical round: You and at least one other person perform a pseudocode scramble style question where you are tasked with organizing the pieces so that they build an app. (They are looking for thought process and teamwork here)
They also give you a case study to perform.
The interview process was simple and well organized. Got a call back the day after applying to schedule an online interview. Enjoyed the process of interviewing with the Home Depot
