I applied through college or university. I interviewed at The Home Depot (University Of, FL) in Jan 2018
Interview
2 Parts in a group interview, one behavioral and one technical. They are looking to see you if you will thrive in a group setting. The technical is also group, make sure to listen to others, not be polite but not be overbearing and sound arrogant.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical part: code is printed on paper but the statements are separated into pieces. Together with the group organize the code.
Behavioral Part: You are give more pieces of paper with instructions on how to build a buliding. You are given price ranges and with the group have to determine the total price.
Lots of behavioral questions and a technical question unscramble focusing on understanding your collaboration skills and communication skills done with another interviewee. Priority here is to show the interviewer you can work well in a team.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Zoomvliet) in Nov 2024
Interview
One HR phone call: how much experience in this or that language? tell me about your projects. Etc etc
One technical round: You and at least one other person perform a pseudocode scramble style question where you are tasked with organizing the pieces so that they build an app. (They are looking for thought process and teamwork here)
They also give you a case study to perform.
The interview process was simple and well organized. Got a call back the day after applying to schedule an online interview. Enjoyed the process of interviewing with the Home Depot
