I applied online. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Indianapolis, IN) in Jun 2017
Interview
I had a great experience interviewing for the HR Generalist position in Indianapolis, Indiana. Everyone was very nice, the role was appealing, and the culture truly fit what I had been used to coming from billion-dollar, global organizations. The interview process in its entirety lasted a week, and the hiring manager and I got along pretty well. When I received the offer, it was everything that I had dreamed of and more. The only reason I did not accept (and it was an extremely tough decision) is because I had another opportunity to work in the technology industry; which is something I always wanted to do. Compared to my other option; from an organizational standpoint, Thermo Fisher did not sell me on their culture and work/life balance. Also, their Glassdoor reviews raised some concerns about whether I would truly be happy once I started the role. I was really looking for some signs that the role would be a good fit in terms of longevity and that I would not be running out the door within 2 years. I chose what I thought would give me a progressive culture with work/life balance in my next opportunity. Nevertheless, I still think about what could have been - the role and compensation itself was very enticing!

Who do you look up to the most in your life and why?
I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Hillsboro, OR)
Interview
The interview process was two virtual interviews followed by an onsite interview. Unfortunately, after all three stages, the company ended up ghosting me without so much as an email rejection. I followed up and was told they were still in process, and then just never heard anything.
