I was asked to come to office and do a in-person interview with the person I was supposed to work with. It went well. Their office is in Mindspace Hyd, its really nice, Good cafeteria.

The first 3 interviews were smooth and easy and I felt that I can work with the team. However, my interview with Oke ( CPO ) did not reflect the positive experiences I had with the rest of the panel. During the conversation, he interrupted me multiple times, specifically 3, while I was responding to his questions, and it appeared that he was not fully engaged or actively listening. When I asked about the role of design in the product roadmap ( I asked this question to Irmak as well and she fully answered it ) , his response was that this responsibility falls solely to the Product Manager even though I respectfully clarified the role that design plays in shaping the roadmap, but the conversation did not progress constructively. He also questioned whether I had conducted any research about him, which seemed misplaced in the context of the interview ( Even though I stated that I did ). Towards the end, he requested to see a project from my portfolio; however, there were only 3 minutes remaining. I proceeded to share my screen and began presenting as I thought maybe he wanted to extend the interview, but he interrupted again shortly after I started, cutting the presentation short and displaying a clear lack of interest or willingness to engage. Even though he apologised after, he also asked for it. Not sure what he was expected in these 3 minutes.

I had three phone interviews (one with a recruiter, one with a couple other designers and one with the hiring manager), plus an assessment. The assessment was very straightforward and the interviews were all pleasant.
