      Applications Developer Interview

      May 28, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Bengaluru
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Bengaluru) in May 2015

      Interview

Interview consisted of total 8 rounds taking 13 days for the whole process and was conducted on 4 separate days. First round was writing code. had 2 hours. Take time to OO design your code and make it clear. Second round was Logical consisting of Flowcharts. Tests your concentration and of course logical thinking. Third round was Pair programming. Further the code developed in round 1. Friendly person. have fun. don't be intimidated by the experience of the other person. Fourth round was Technical interview 1 consisting of questions based on experience mentioned in resume and a puzzle. Nice people here too. very understanding. Be Confident. if your resume speaks true about you then this round will be a breeze. the puzzle was simple needs proper understanding of basic math. Basic thing is approach not result. Fifth round was a rapid 12 min test with 50 questions. very simple questions. tests how well you do under pressure. Sixth round was Technical interview 2 consisting of OOP design methodologies. Given a problem how to use OOPs effectively to solve it. this was a little uncomfortable since interviewers were less "fun":-). but nonetheless positive. Seventh round was Values round mainly testing your social outlook and social injustice. Eight round was Leadership, testing how well you fit into the culture of the company.the best round in the whole process. the person was very friendly. The recruiters have to be thanked here because they guide you and want you to do well. just be confident and a tiny bit nervous :-) and ask recruiters on how you could approach the interviews. All the best!.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

10 people can share a bucket of coins equally. A monkey steals one coin. The no of coins are one less than equal share. one person after the other tries to take the coin but monkey kills them(killing spree?? :-)). each time a person dies the no of coins are always one short of equal share. what were the no of coins originally?.
