* They called me for interview. A soft spoken person asked me some questions. Started a discussion with me. Instead of asking me technical questions to test my knowledge he discussed few things with me. At the end of interview, I wasn't sure if this is all, if technical interview is done.
However, in next meeting, that was with co-founder, they told me about his feedback and he was good at understanding me. Then co-founders talked with me told me their concern about my frequent job switching so I told them reasons. They also told me what they like in me. And wanted me to join. Told me clearly that they always think team and culture fit person first and then technical abilities.
Later on, I came to know that these guys were true at that. They really cared about good hiring. I was selected, not joined there because this place was away from my home (as compared to other option which was product based company) and there was a lot going on in my mind at that time and I couldn’t commit to work for the long term at one place at the moment so I told them clearly. Seems odd?
Actually there co-founders emphasis on making team of people who are team-fit. And they were not just saying it. Other people also confirmed that. So I didn’t want to join these people because I couldn’t leave those guys easily because they give you special attention. Just like other companies give attention to clients, they give attention to candidates. Very open and if they think you are a good fit, they would give you respect and will try to have you in their team. They listen to you if you have any concern because they want good people in their team. Even if you have lot of questions after talking with them in meeting they would welcome your any concern via email or call, unlike popular companies will think it your attitude or waste of time. In fact, Tintash CEO gave me his number and email and told me to ask any question any time.
Although I joined somewhere else for my reasons but it was really hard for me to decide. These guys are good. This company is not very big but they also welcome Senior developers while many other companies try to hire junior to cut the costs.
