The interviewer walked into the room and was focused on his laptop, so I had to start introducing myself without any proper engagement from him.
The questions he asked were basic knowledge that can easily be found through AI or online resources. In reality, the job is about problem-solving, not acting as an IT lecturer.
The interviewer came across as somewhat arrogant and complacent. He did not even appear to have read my resume, as he seemed unaware of whether my skills matched what he was looking for. There was also no effort to prepare meaningful scenario-based questions for the interview.
Questions that rely purely on textbook knowledge could easily be handled through an online interview. I would advise candidates not to waste anual leave attending interviews like this.
The company itself may not necessarily be the issue, but the quality and professionalism of the interviewer is questionable — unless you are in urgent need of a job.
