I applied on the travelers website to two positions Property Claims Trainee/Property Claims Rep. I was contacted by email the following day and scheduled for a phone interview the following week. That same day I was no longer under consideration (in there online portal) for the non-traninee position which was probably do to the lack of my prior insurance experience. The phone interview came the following week and I was asked STAR questions aka situation questions like when was the last time you worked on a team and what was role and why are interested in travelers as well as salary expectations. The interview seemed like it went well. I didn't feel like I made any major mistakes because I prepared ahead of time. The interviewer continued with questions in regards to my resume which I answered. After that the interviewer informed me about the seconded interview and the assessment the came along with that second interview. She warned me it was going be a strenuous day. She then ended by telling me she would contact me back to schedule the second interview. Giving me the assumption I was moving on the second interview. I sent a thank you email to the interviewer that same day with no response. I checked the online portal at least three times a week for about a month. I was still under consideration. Today I finally get an automated email stating that I'm not longer in under consideration. I'm a little upset over the false expectations and feel like I was lead on. I even held off on other job offers because of the false expectation. It was a complete waste of my time. I suggest no one hold off on other offers and make the same mistake I did.
