I was contacted by Insight Global from my resume on Monster, and they set up the interview with Travelers about a week later. I was told to go to their office and wait on their floor for someone to come get me, but was not told their name. It felt like an abandoned room with just a phone, and since I had neither of the interviewers' names, I was a bit lost. Thankfully, someone came after a couple minutes, and she turned out to be one of the hiring managers.
Both of my interviewers (a man and a woman) were incredibly nice and patient with me, seeing as how I ended up blanking on a couple questions. (I eventually bounced back, but interviewing is not my forte.) They seemed pleased to meet me, and asked me some of the basic interview questions.
They talked about the company, what the departments were, and eventually what the department that I was interviewing for was and what they did. He was very detailed and easy to follow, to the point where I almost had no questions. They both worked for the company for around 30 years or so, so the interview was a little bit intimidating. They were patient with my bumbling and seemed to connect with me, however.
He told me what the next steps were before I could ask, and the woman reassured me again as we were leaving. I felt no sense of judgement or animosity from either one, and even i I don't get the job, I felt I gained experience from this interview on how not to fudge it up.
