some people get accepted right away, others have to interview. I got accepted right away from submitting application. No formal interview for me but I went through the process of walking around campus meeting 4-5 professors for a day.

Question 1
No formal interview but I went through the process of meeting professors with others. They talked about their research and just let the 3-4 prospective students ask questions to learn more and try to impress. If you have a particular professor you want to meet, you can possibly work it out with the current graduate student who is walking you through campus
