      Discharge Planning Associate Interview

      Jul 9, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Pittsburgh, PA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at UPMC (Pittsburgh, PA)

      Interview

Interviewer was professional and polite in planning the interview via email. On interview day, they were late and had me waiting in a waiting room for a bit, but I understand things happen in a hospital, so at the time I felt like it was no big deal. I felt like the interview conversation flowed well between myself, the interviewer, and her assistant. The only point of contention seemed be the degree I held as well as the one I was actively completing not matching what they were looking for with regard to future movement in this department. The biggest downside was the standard "We will be making a decision soon and we'll let you know either way" only to be complete ghosted and have to monitor the candidate portal for the "You are no longer in consideration for this role" update months later.
