I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at US Air Force (Bossier City, LA) in Nov 2015
Interview
The position gets posted on USA Jobs where it is open for a period of time, say 3 weeks. You then go on to USA Jobs and submit the resume. During the time period that the job is posted, you wait until all resumes have been received. Once the job closes, AFPC will screen all resumes for qualification. If qualified, employer contacts you after resume review. Then there is an interview, the hiring, and processing to be hired.
Time consuming. Slow process but due to multiple agencies being involved in the steps. Applying is easy and straightforward. USAJobs is easy to navigate in order to find and apply for jobs.
It was good only. The interviewer had a few technical questions only. Like what is beta. What is capm. Tell me something abt you. Why do you want to joi nthe company.
Talked to a recruiter and he hooked up the job, after taking the asvab I was able to select a position off of the sheet of available jobs. Overall a good experience with the United States Air Force . They actually cared about who I was as a person.
